KAREN WAPLES has taught since 1999 and works at Holy Family High School in Broomfield, Colorado. She teaches AP® United States Government and Politics, CP American Government and AP® Comparative Government and Politics. Karen is the co-author of American Government: Stories of a Nation for the AP® Course. Karen has served as a reader for the AP® US Government and Politics and AP® United States History exams and was the 2019 exam leader for the AP® Comparative Government and Politics exam. She is an endorsed consultant for the College Board® and conducts AP® workshops and institutes throughout the country. Karen was the chair of the College Board’s Social Science Academic Advisory Committee and was a member of the Curriculum Redesign Committee for the AP® United States Government and Politics course. She received the Colorado Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education in 1997 and was recognized as a Cherry Creek High School teacher of the year in 2002. Karen was a trial attorney from 1985-1989.

CHRISTOPHER HALL began teaching AP Human Geography when the course was introduced by the College Board in 2000 and was a member of the Test Development Committee from 2007-2011 and has been regularly requested to submit questions to the committee since. He was a contributing author of the AP Vertical Teams Guide for History and the Social Sciences and has been the editor for two Human Geography Curriculum Modules (Urban Geography and Gender and Geography) published by the College Board. He co-authored an article for the Journal of Geography’s special edition on AP Human Geography in 2015. He was a contributing author to Human Geography: Preparing for the AP Examination (Perfection Learning). In 2018, he served as a member of College Board’s Instructional Design Team which worked on changes to the AP course for 2020. Prior to AP Human Geography Chris taught world regional geography courses in both junior and senior high schools. He has been an AP exam reader since 2001 and is currently a table leader. NCGE recognized Chris as its Distinguished Teacher in 2007 and he the Utah Geographic Alliance awarded him Outstanding Secondary Teacher in 2001. He has also been the Davis School District secondary “Teacher of the Year (2006). Chris considers his experience as a presenter at AP workshops and institutes one of the highlights of his career and he conducts them regularly.

LAURA BRANDT: College Du Leman, Geneva Switzerland; Laura Brandt teaches AP and IB Psychology as well as AP Seminar the College du Leman in Geneva, Switzerland. Laura has taught psychology, history, government and law. In addition, she has served as a reviewer or author for book chapters, course reviews and test banks and review books for AP psychology. Laura has served as a reader, table leader and question leader for the AP psychology reading and serves as an examiner for the IB psychology exams. Laura has served on the TOPSS executive board, which represents high school psychology instructors within the American Psychological Association as member coordinator and chair. Laura along with Nancy Fenton are the co-creators of the I-Score 5 review app for the AP Psychology exam and the blog Books for Psychology Class (http://booksforpsychologyclass.weebly.com) a blog which reviews psychology related books and provides class activities for teachers and students. Laura earned her Master’s degree in U.S. History at Northern Illinois University and her Master’s in Psychology from DePaul University in Chicago and her administrative certificate form Concordia University.

EVAN JASPER has taught history courses at Lynden Christian High School in Washington state for 7 years, and for the past 12 years has taught A.P. U.S. History at Wheaton Academy in West Chicago, Illinois. He has also taught as an adjunct professor at Trinity International University. He completed his undergraduate work at Dordt College and received an M.A. in History from Western Washington University. He has been a reader for 5 years and a Consultant for the College Board in A.P. U.S. History since 2018. He currently teaches A.P. U.S. History, A.P. Government, and A.P. Comparative Government.
